John Barker, SR., SIOR, passed away on August 27, 2025. founder and president of John Barker Realty, he was a visionary in industrial real estate and an SIOR member since 1980. His leadership and drive fueled transformative economic growth and job creation across the Southeast.

Mark Erickson, SIOR, passed away on September 12, 2025. As vice president of the Industrial Services Team at Colliers, he was a respected leader in commercial real estate and an SIOR member since 2018. His professionalism, warmth, and dedication left a lasting impact on colleagues and the commercial real estate industry.

Mervyn E. Kirshner, SIOR, passed away on September 26, 2025. He served as SIOR National President in 1991 and had been an SIOR member since 1973. A titan of industrial real estate, Mervyn represented major clients with integrity and mentored countless professionals. His leadership, wisdom, and generosity left a lasting mark on the industry and the many colleagues he inspired throughout his distinguished career.

Herbert L. Krumsick, SIOR, passed away on November 5, 2025. A devoted SIOR member since 1976, Herb dedicated nearly five decades to advancing the organization. He built an extraordinary career marked by integrity, mentorship, and service, earning SIOR’s Howell Watson Award for Distinguished Service and teaching SIOR courses for more than 25 years. Herb’s warmth, humor, and unwavering commitment to excellence left a lasting impact on SIOR and on the many colleagues who proudly called him a friend.

Danny Zeloker, SIOR, passed away on August 10, 2025. Founder of Z Miami Commercial RE, Inc., he was a respected leader in commercial real estate and an SIOR member since 2009. Known for his generosity and mentorship, Danny’s legacy continues through the Danny Zelonker Educational Scholarship.
