Stepping into a new leadership role offers a valuable moment to reflect on where we’ve been, where we’re headed, and what it means to lead in a time of change. I’m energized by the momentum we’ve created together, and I see even greater opportunities for SIOR to lead with innovation, inclusivity, and impact, and proud to help guide an organization that continues to raise the standard for excellence in industrial and office real estate.

My journey with SIOR began in 2017, and like many of you, I’ve found this community to be one of the most valuable parts of my career. SIOR has been more than a designation for me, it has been a community that has shaped my career, expanded my global perspective, and given me lifelong friendships. The knowledge shared across markets, the strength of our relationships, and the professionalism our members bring to every transaction. It all sets SIOR apart.

We saw that strength in action at the Fall 2025 Event in Louisville, where more than [#] CRE professionals came together for a week of learning, connection, and collaboration. Thank you to everyone— members, sponsors, speakers, and HQ staff—who helped make it such a powerful experience.

As we look ahead, I’m focused on continuing to grow SIOR’s reach and relevance in a rapidly evolving industry. A top priority for my presidency is expanding our global footprint, ensuring that SIOR continues to attract and support top professionals across borders, while deepening the value we offer in every market we serve. Equally as important is embracing innovation and technology that will shape the future of our profession, and strengthen the diversity of our representation so that SIOR reflects the breadth of talent across our industry. I’m also committed to supporting the next generation of SIOR leaders and strengthening engagement at the chapter level, where so much of our impact begins.

I want to thank Mike Ohmes, SIOR, for his dedicated leadership over the past year. His steady guidance and deep commitment to our members helped move SIOR forward in meaningful ways, and I’m grateful for the foundation he helped build. In this issue of the SIOR Report, you’ll find expert perspectives on smart tech in CRE, broker talent strategies, SEZs and global growth, and more. I encourage you to take the time to explore it—there’s no better way to stay informed and prepared for what’s ahead.
