Some 20 years' commercial and industrial property consultancy/brokerage experience across China, predominantly representing US and European corporations, and recipient of Foreign Investment Ambassador awards in different Provinces of China.

Organisational roles include the following, across China:

- Identify, advise, and negotiate new leases, acquisitions and sales of industrial property, predominantly for European and US manufacturers and technology companies.

- Corporate office and business park tenant representation.

- Investment brokerage and asset management, particularly industrial related.

- Government negotiations and advisory, to significantly enhance incentives and the speed and outcome of projects.

Some 18 years based in Shanghai, while undertaking industrial & commercial property assignments across China. Roland represents multinational manufactures, investors/developers, corporate occupiers and the government through the entire process of a real estate transaction - including strategic advisory, opinions of value, site selection, leasing/renewals, government relations and negotiations, project management, sales/acquisitions/investments and asset management.

Roland is a Foreign Investment Ambassador in China, having represented a significant number of multinational corporations with their real estate / investment / government requirements in China. Industrial clients include Coca Cola, Danaher, Emerson, Johnson Controls, Howmet, Koch Industries, Metabo, Rolex, Siemens, Sonoco, VW. Office tenant representation clients include Bose, Colfax, Callison RTKL, Columbia Sportswear, Dow Jones, Deckers, Edward's Lifesciences. Investor clients include ESR, DLJ, Gaw Capital, GLP, Goodman, Great Eagle, Hines, Hua Rong, JP Morgan, Sino Ocean, Vanke.

Prior to GBG, Roland was Director & Head of China at Asia Pacific Properties and the Greater China Country Principal representing GVA Worldwide / Avison Young. He also worked in the Industrial Departments at Newmark Knight Frank and Colliers International. While based in Shanghai, his experience spans across China’s first and second tier cities, in addition to others.

Roland obtained his BA at the University of the West of England, Bristol with a major in Business Studies.
