Thorsten was born in Hamburg in the North of Germany. He spent most of his school years in greater London and the South of France. The idea to work in publishing or run a small bookstore in some romantic corner of France was quickly abandoned after an attempt to study Philologie Francaise at the Université de Nice. Back in Hamburg he took his grandfather’s advice to do what the family had done for a few generations, to go into “brick and mortar”.

He since has been happy working in the real estate industry for over 30 years. Before joining Jones Lang LaSalle ( JLL) in 2018, he worked for Berendes & Partner & Consulting GmbH / CORFAC International a nationwide boutique brokerage specialized in surplus industrial assets and Chesterton, Blumenauer, Binswanger. He focuses on industrial properties for private, corporate, and institutional companies nationally and internationally with a focus on North Germany.

He has a strong sales background and is a constant producer in all market conditions. He is an active SIOR member of the European Chapter. In 2009 he won as the first non US American 3 SIOR Transaction Awards; He attracts constant repeat business through his commitment and focuses on his client’s goals. Thorsten has extensive expertise working on a wide range of transactions;.

He lives with his partner plus dog, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, and a 45+ year old turtle in the center of Hamburg. When not at work, he enjoys a regular workout, good food, travelling and just relaxing.

He focuses on the acquisition, disposition and leasing of industrial properties for private, corporate, and institutional companies nationally and internationally.

He has a strong sales background and is a constant producer in all market conditions. He is an active SIOR member of the European Chapter.
