John Dohm, SIOR, CCIM, CFP

Mr. Dohm has been a licensed real estate broker for over 30 years. He is one of less than 900 people in the world to hold both the SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office Realtors) and CCIM (Certified Commercial Institute Member) designations, and the only one to have also been awarded the CFP (Certified Financial Planner) designation as well as all major securities licenses.

John Dohm is a recent past SIOR national Regional Director for the South USA. He is past president of the Florida Chapter, has served on the SIOR Foundation Board, is past Chairman of the global organization’s Membership Standards Committee, and served on the national Board of Directors.

Mr. Dohm is 2015 Chairman of the Board of the Miami Association of Realtors, which at over 52,000 members (over 35,000 in Greater Miami and over 12,000 in Greater Fort Lauderdale) is now the largest local board in the world. The Miami Association has partnership agreements with over 215 international real estate organizations across the globe. He is also recent past-president of the commercial division of the Miami Association of Realtors which has over 2,200 South Florida members. He holds an executive position on the Board of Governors of the 1.3 million member National Association of Realtors and Board of Directors of the 150,000 member state of Florida Realtors association, as well as being Chairman of the state's Commercial Alliance Committee. The Miami Association has named John its 2011 Commercial Realtor of the Year, and the 2012 Realtor of the Year for the entire association.

John is past president of the CCIM Broward Chapter, on the board of the Miami Chapter and served for several years on the board of the state CCIM organization. He founded the Commercial Industrial Real Estate Brokers Association and is a two-term past president.

In addition to traditional brokerage, John specializes in public-private partnerships, complex land assemblage, and commercial redevelopment. He shares a successful regional brokerage office with Ted Konigsberg, a veteran commercial broker, fellow SIOR member and longtime friend. They work together as Infinity Commercial Real Estate. John is also president of Florida Transatlantic Holdings, LLC., a brokerage and consulting firm specializing in public infrastructure and which provides consulting services to airports, seaports and transit systems. He was also part of DJP, LLC a consortium that reclaims rock-pits by filling them for development as sustainable office and industrial parks.

Mr. Dohm is the real estate subconsultant to Ricondo Associates, the consulting firm engaged to update the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport Master Plan. He also assembled and coordinated a team that successfully relocating the Broward County Aviation Department's administrative and project management offices during the Fort Lauderdale - Hollywood International Airport Expansion Project which has been in process for approximately five years.

Mr. Dohm recently served as real estate advisor to AECOM and part of the AECOM (www.AECOM.com) consulting team selected by Broward County to advise Port Everglades on the relocation of the port's foreign trade zone (FTZ-25). He also sits on the Freight Transportation Advisory Committee (FTAC) of both the Miami-Dade County TPO (Transportation Planning Organization), the Broward County MPO (Metropolitan Planning Organization) and is the vice-chair of the State of Florida Freight Transportation Committee of the Florida Department of Transportation. Additionally he volunteers his services on a regular basis to various committees of both airports and seaports in Miami-Dade and Broward counties to advise county and municipal agencies on freight transportation, infrastructure and real estate issues.

John is currently part of the TranSystems Consulting team that is developing the Hialeah Freight Improvement Plan and the Atkins Global team that is about to begin the Homestead Freight Improvement Plan, both in Florida DOT District 6. He has recently worked with as real estate consultant to CTS Engineering Consulting Group on development of the Town of Medley Freight Improvement Plan, with PE Inc on the Miami Gardens Freight Plan, and with Atkins Global on the Miami River Freight Plan. He is still working with Ajamil Bermillo and CTS Engineering on the Port Miami Tunnel evaluation study and has just been engaged as real estate consultant to Cambridge Systematics as consultants to the Florida DOT Seaport Office in a five-year evaluation of Florida's fifteen seaports.

Some of the projects in which Mr. Dohm has been involved are location, development and construction of ABC Distributing’s 1-million square foot facility on 80 acres in Hialeah off the Gratigny Expressway and LeJeune Road in Miami; acquisition of 186 acres by Manheim Auto Auction; reclamation of approximately 30 acres for office development directly west of the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport at the entrance to Port 95; reclamation of nearly 50 acres for industrial development west of I-95 and Hallandale Beach Boulevard adjacent to the Seneca Industrial Park; permitting and development of a work release facility for a public-private partnership between the Broward Sheriff’s Office and Wackenhut Corrections (Geo Group) at Sample Road and Powerline Road in Pompano Beach; assemblage of over 30 parcels for the Downtown Home Depot at Sunrise Boulevard and US 1 in Fort Lauderdale; and assemblage of nearly 30 acres for Atlas Materials Testing in the Redland area of Southwest Miami-Dade County. John has also located sold numerous facilities for the School Board of Broward County and has worked with both Broward County Government through consultants to the Broward County Aviation Department (BCAD) and Port Everglades on evaluation of land leases, office leases, acquisitions and public-private partnerships.

John grew up in Miami, graduated from U of M, and has been a South Florida resident since the early 1950s. Prior to his 30-year career in real estate John was a symphony musician and then a securities and commodities specialist at LaSalle Street Securities and the Chicago Board of Trade.
