Proposed changes to SFAS 13 Lease Accounting will effect both leasing and acquisition decisions.  All leases will be required to be represented as both assets and liabilities on company balance sheets.  The SEC estimates that this will add nearly $1.5 billion to the balance sheets of US publicly traded corporations. Shorter lease terms will be more advantageous, and acquisition of real estate will be considered for much shorter occupancy duration expectations.  The benefits of sale/leaseback and synthetic lease transactions will be significantly marginalized.  This session will explain the proposed changes and the impact to brokerage, lending and tenant lease vs. buy decisions.

Or the opposite can happen. Too much is happening too fast, with no time to think or plan. Just when opportunities are the biggest, capabilities are stretched to the limit. In either case, all the fun and satisfaction of being an entrepreneur fades. In this presentation, Paulette will share focusing strategies used in The Strategic Coach Program that help entrepreneurs to break through complexity and frustration to reach new levels of productivity, possibility, enjoyment, and confidence. Walk away with strategies to help you focus on the money-making activities you enjoy, simplify your business to increase your income, work exclusively with high-quality clients, and enjoy your rewarding personal life in addition to having business success.
