Pre-registration for the 2017 SIOR Spring World Conference is now closed. Please purchase optional event tickets on-site at the SIOR Registration Desk at the Sheraton New Orleans. The registration desk will be located in the Grand Ballroom Foyer on the 5th Floor of the Sheraton and will observe the following hours:

Join other SIOR spouses and significant others for breakfast on Thursday morning. This breakfast will provide an opportunity for guests to meet and get to know each other on the first day of the conference. Following breakfast, attendees will depart for a tour of renowned jeweler, Mignon Faget.

Mignon Faget, a local artisan, has become one of the most sought-after jewelers in town. Her traditional New Orleans-style pieces, along with her simply stated yet beautifully designed nature pieces, have won over local residents as well as people from all over the world. Enjoy a private tour of her studio to see the artist at work. Following the tour, you'll be taken to her gallery to browse the finished pieces.

Explore the heart of New Orleans! Indulge in and enjoy the flavor of Creole Cuisine as you learn how to recreate the magic of New Orleans Cuisine. Discover the folklore, customs and unique architecture of this European corner of America. 

You'll learn about life in New Orleans as a lively Chef teaches you the steps in preparing Creole delicacies - a world famous cuisine that combines the finest elements of French and Spanish cooking with rich indigenous seafood, spices, and produce. Local specialty dishes such as Gumbo, Andouille Jambalaya, and Bread Pudding with Whiskey Sauce will be demonstrated. Sample some of these delicacies as you enjoy a relaxing lunch, following the cooking demonstration.

This is your chance to get the low-down on the 19th century rivalry between the French-speaking Catholic Creoles downtown and the Anglo-American Protestants who mostly settled in this uptown neighborhood. Why did New Orleans become such a boomtown? What was life like in those days? What brought about a decline? These are some of the questions we'll consider as we stroll through this beautiful historic district.
