Associate Members

Requirements

  • Available as company memberships for practitioners who are not third-party brokers but are involved inindustrial or office real estate.
  • Applicants located within SIOR chapter jurisdictions must obtain two 2) letters of recommendation from within their chapters, unless more than 50 percent of the applicant's business is located in which case one recommendation can come from outside the chapter jurisdiction.  These letters must be submitted on the recommender's company letterhead and should speak to the reputation of the organization, firm or company.

Associate status is granted in one of four categories:      

 

· Corporate Associate-companies that own/buy/lease significant amounts of industrial and/or office real estate

· Developer Associate –companies that develop industrial and/or office real estate facilities


 

· Educator Associate –accredited educational institutions offering degree programs in real estate

· General Associate- for practitioners who are not third-party brokers but are involved in industrial or office real estate, including accounting firms, architectural and design firms, asset management companies, auction companies, banks and financial institutions, chambers of commerce, economic development agencies, engineering firms, environmental engineering firms, general contractors, insurance companies with real estate portfolios, investment funds with real estate portfolios, public utilities, real estate technology and information firms, and title insurance companies
