Since the late 1970’s Rhett has been in the field of commercial real estate in the Savannah area and has been fortunate to be involved in the sale of some of the region’s significant developments and restorations. These projects include many restored buildings in Historic Savannah as well as master planned mixed use developments in the Coastal region. Rhett is presently an associate broker with Colliers International, Savannah. The high point of his business career is the recent association of his son, Tyler, as a commercial agent at Colliers.

He has served in many civic and professional capacities including past president of the Savannah Board of Realtors, past Chairman of the Commercial Council of Realtors (precursor of the Realtors Commercial Alliance), former trustee of The Historic Savannah Foundation, past President of the Coastal Georgia Land Trust, past president of the L’Alliance Francais, past board member Goodwill Industries of the Coastal Empire, and current board member of The Habersham School among others. Rhett currently serves as president of Hilltop Property Owners Association in Cashiers, North Carolina where he and his family like to spend their leisure time. Rhett has been a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors specializing in the office sector for over 25 years. He is married to Carol, a commercial Real Estate appraiser, and they have two grown children, Chase and Tyler, and Caroline HuiDi Mouchet, aged 12. Rhett enjoys music and is active as keyboard player with his church as well participating in other music oriented venues. He also enjoys a variety of outdoor sports including running (former marathoner), hiking, and camping with Caroline.
