SIOR Company (Affiliate) Membership

Organizations with a vital interest in corporate real estate services and industrial or office development comprise SIOR's Affiliate membership. Affiliate status is available as company memberships for organizations which do not engage in third-party brokerage, but are involved in industrial or office real estate in one of three categories.

Developer Affiliate status is open to qualified firms that are actively involved in industrial or office real estate development but do not engage in the business of third-party brokerage.

Requirements

  • Development Project: Provide descriptions of three recent development projects and include applicable marketing materials.
  • Nominations: Provide one formal nomination from an Active Designee Member in the applicant's Chapter and one formal nomination from a local Chapter Officer (President, Vice President, Treasurer or Secretary).
  • Fees: Application Fee: $175 (non-refundable)
    Annual Dues (first year prorated)

    • U.S. and Canada
      • First company office holding membership: $1,500
      • Other office locations from same company*: $575
    • International
      • First company office holding membership: $500
      • Other office locations from same company*: $310

       

General Affiliate status is open to qualified firms or agencies of specified types whose business consists in substantial part of financing, constructing, analyzing, owning or managing industrial or office real estate for occupancy by other businesses or managing networks of commercial real estate service providers.

Qualified firms are those that use the services of Members of SIOR and welcome the representation of other principals by Members including accounting firms, architectural and design firms, asset management companies, banks and financial institutions, chambers of commerce, economic development agencies, engineering firms, general contractors, insurance companies with real estate portfolios, investment funds with real estate portfolios, public utilities, and title insurance companies.

  • Nominations: Provide one formal nomination from an Active Designee Member in the applicant's Chapter and one formal nomination from a local Chapter Officer (President, Vice President, Treasurer or Secretary).
  • Fees: Application Fee: $175 (non-refundable)
    Annual Dues (first year prorated)

    • U.S. and Canada: $1,500

Requirements

  • Nominations: Provide one formal nomination from an Active Designee Member in the applicant's Chapter and one formal nomination from a local Chapter Officer (President, Vice President, Treasurer or Secretary).
  • Fees: Application Fee: $175 (non-refundable)
    Annual Dues (first year prorated)
    • U.S. and Canada: $500
    • International: $250

Important Notes:

Affiliate Members can appoint up to two qualified individuals from the organization to serve as delegates and represent the organization in the affairs of SIOR. Delegates must be from the same office location where the membership is held. For an additional $275 per delegate, Affiliate Members may appoint up to two additional delegates at each location. The maximum number of delegates at any location is four.

SIOR Chapter Membership and Dues
Chapter Membership is required and contingent upon approval of membership in the SIOR. Active Individual, Member Associate, and Affiliate Members within a Chapter's jurisdiction must fulfill applicable Chapter dues. Please contact the local Chapter for dues requirements.

SIOR’s application processing procedure, conducted pursuant to the terms of SIOR’s Bylaws, seeks to assure that applicants are fully and fairly evaluated in terms of qualification criteria as stated in the SIOR Bylaws.
