Rob Nahigian is a Principal with Auburndale Realty Co. in Newton, Massachusetts and has 52 years in commercial/industrial real estate experience. He has handled approximately $ 7.2 billion of real estate totaling 44 million square feet including many build-to-suit developments. Rob is the past New England Chapter President and has held many SIOR national positions as Chair and Vice-Chair of committees. He also served on the CRE National Board of Directors, National Vice-Chair Liaison; past CRE New England Chapter President; past National Editor-In-Chief and past chair of many committees. He is been awarded national and regional awards as a real estate practitioner with over 7 practitioner awards and an 8-time award winning real estate educator. He has appeared on Bloomberg Radio Wall Street, Boston Business Journal and the Boston Globe while authoring articles for the Boston Herald. He is a 5 time SIOR National Instructor of the Year, and awarded CoStar's 1Q'22 Top Dealmaker. the 2019 and 2009 CRE recipient of the “James Felt Creative Counseling Award” for the most outstanding achievement and ingenuity in a real estate counseling assignment in the U.S ; was awarded by Boston’s Commercial Brokers Association as “Industrial Deal of The Year”; “Distinguished Achievements in Commercial Leasing” and 3 times as the “Real Estate Advisory Assignment of the Year” (the most of any CBA member); was awarded CoreNet’s 2013 “Top Rated Faculty” and awarded twice as the “2015 and 2011 Massachusetts Real Estate Educator of the Year.” He serves on the Advisory Board for a NYSE public real estate investment firm; was appointed by the three Governors to the MADOT Real Estate Appraisal Review Board; and elected by the MA RE Licensing Board to its Education Subcommittee. He is a Faculty member of Boston University, SIOR, MANAIOP and was a past faculty of MAR, NAR Commercial and RealtorU. He is a frequently-sought national speaker on build-to-suit pro forma development, negotiating skills, investment evolution and logistics & supply chain to SIOR chapters, NAR World Global Convention, CRE National Convention and other commercial boards and companies.

He holds commercial real estate accreditations of FRICS, SIOR, CRE and MCR and a member of LAI an honorary land economics society. He has earned his BA from Lehigh University (cum laude) and played Division II collegiate baseball. He holds a Masters Degree in Urban Planning from Columbia University.
