He is Past-President of the Society and has been President of the Central Canadian Chapter as well as on the international board of directors. Apart from his real estate education, Phil has passed the Canadian Securities Course, has a Bachelor of Science Degree from M.I.T. and a Master of Science Degree from the University of Calgary. Summary of Highlights:

During his tenure at Martel Commercial Realty Inc., Brokerage, Mr. Nanavati was the top sales person in the Martel organization a total of five times.

In 1997 Mr. Nanavati was the selling broker for three large parcels of development land in the City of Burlington. One of the properties was marketed on behalf of the Canada Lands Corporation and the other two were for private sector clients.

In 1996 Mr. Nanavati was chosen as the lead consultant for Union-Centra Gas to advise them on the marketing of surplus office real estate holdings in North York Ontario. This project involved an international marketing effort with advertising, direct mail to over 2,000 prospects as well as co-ordinating the exposure of the project through the real estate boards of Ontario.

In 1995 Mr. Nanavati joined with four other sales associates to form Martel Commercial Realty Inc. An independent Burlington based full service commercial real estate brokerage company that has since expanded to twelve sales staff.

In 1988 Mr. Nanavati was awarded the prestigious SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office Realtors) designation, in 1992 he was elected president of the Central Canadian Chapter in 1993 was elected to the National Board of Directors and in 2001 was elected President of the Society.

As Broker/Manager for Martel Real Estate , Mr. Nanavati was the selling manager of the Burlington commercial sales/leasing office managing a group of 8 sales associates and support staff.

As the Director of Real Estate Sales and Leasing for Lush Realty Corp., Mr. Nanavati was responsible for the co-ordination of all real estate activity. Lush Realty Corp. was an active commercial real estate brokerage organization in the Halton market with a strong development bias.

As a sales associate with CENTURY 21 Western Homes Ltd., Phil averaged over one million dollars in real estate sales each year and was their top salesperson in 1981. Also in 1981, he was one of the top 50 salespersons of the 1,000 plus member Victoria Real Estate Board.

As project manager for Cascade Development Corporation, Mr. Nanavati was responsible for the development of over 600 M.U.R.B. units in Calgary, Alberta. Duties included liaison with various levels of government, utility companies, architects, lawyers, surveyors, builders, property managers and sales staff.

As administrator of the Harbour Square Commercial Complex, Phil was manager in charge of over 45,000 square feet of office space, 90,000 square feet of retail mall space, 20 luxury condominium apartments, a squash club and a 200 car underground parking garage.
